We offer various services to birthing people in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Birth Companions Community Center (BCCC) provides on-call doula services and birth support to parents in San Francisco. We also support families with child development and health education virtually and in-person at our center.

Immediate birth support and companionship to families in San Francisco, respecting diverse cultures and ancestral practices.

Holistic aftercare and guidance to new parents during the crucial period after childbirth. Clients also have access to traditional postpartum practices such as “la cerrada de caderas” (hip-closing ceremony).

Virtual and in-person child development and health classes such as prenatal yoga, infant massage, nutrition and Abriendo Puertas for children 0-5 years. BCCC also holds a heart-centered weekly support group that teaches storytelling and healing through dialogue for parents.

Baby showers are held every three months to support growing families. BCCC hosts a celebration with food, music, clothes, and essentials for mom and baby.

Weekly food distribution on Fridays for BCCC families.

Birth Companions supports families with essentials such as diapers, clothing and other supplies depending on availability.

Our Birth Companions Training offers a bilingual curriculum, in both English and Spanish, that educates and mentors Doulas in our community. Our unique training has a rich faculty of Midwives, Doulas, and Birth Educators with deep lived experience and an empowering approach to honoring cultural diversity.
